A few months ago Oliver Bradley contacted me to let me know that he and Mike Crum were planning to do a big skate event in honor of the late Jeff Phillips, and they were going to call it Bonelessone.  It’s not like I have a trademark on the term “boneless one”, but Oliver is such a cool guy I guess he just wanted to let me know since MMS and I own the domain name. Just the kind of thing I’d expect from someone cool enough to put together such a great event.

People from all over came to town for the Tribute. Really, really fun. Oliver and company built a massive vert ramp and some great skating happened.

There is a lot of discussion on the web about his event, so I won’t try to recap it. Just search it out. Here are some pics that Stubbs took…

This is a bit late — but I am sad to report that former Powell-Peralta pro skater Ray Underhill has died after a long fight with cancer.

Ray was a serious vert ripper. I never met him, but everyone says he was a great guy. Here’s some video someone posted on youtube. enjoy.
